Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran is an American businesswoman from America. The Corcoran Group, an NYC-based real estate brokerage was established by Corcoran. NRT bought it in 2001 for $66 million. Corcoran then left the company. Corcoran is one of ABC’s original Shark Tank investors. As of now she has appeared in each season of Shark Tank. In February of 2020, she has made 53 deals for the show, with the biggest being a $350,000 investment for 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was the second in a family of 10 children and was raised in Edgewater. Florence Corcoran's mother was an excellent household worker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. was her father through Corcoran's early years. Her family often depended on food delivery services for free from a local grocery store. Corcoran remembers her fatheras who was a drunk at times too much and behaved towards her mother with disrespect and condescendingly, particularly after he'd consumed some drinks. Corcoran struggled throughout her schooling before discovering that she was dyslexic. Corcoran entered the high school system in St. Cecilia High School Englewood following her departure from her Catholic elementary school. Corcoran dropped several classes during her first year before transferring to Leonia High School where she was a D student.
